Lacey McAdams had returned home unexpectedly during an early December snowstorm after being gone longer than she'd planned. To her horror, she found her handsome husband with his arms around her best friend, kissing her. Her world shattered. When he'd miserably tried to explain that they'd been worried about her and had only sought comfort in a stupid moment, she refused to listen to him. In her heart, she believed him. But she wasn't sure she could ever forgive either of them, or forgive herself for being away from home so often and so long. Maybe their marriage just wasn't meant to be.

Devlin had been horrified to discover his arms around another woman, kissing her when his precious wife walked into their kitchen. He'd missed her so damn much. He'd never meant to touch her friend. There always had been and always would be only one woman for him, his fiery Lacey Jane. Numbness spread through him when she wouldn't accept his gut-deep apology, when she drove away from him into the snowstorm. This could not be the end of them. He would do whatever necessary to make things right again. Trouble was his wife could be pretty stubborn at times, unreasonable, too. But she'd accept his apology and his forever kind of love, even if he had to burn her butt to make her think clearly. And he aimed to have her back with him permanently by Christmas.

Note: Want a better value? This story is also included in Starla's "Ranch Christmas" package along with "Santa Wears Spurs" and "Mistletoe and Holly."

Nice story about a couple who have problems and do whatever they need to work things out. Cute but short.

Yeah, Sheila! Kaye should be ashamed of herself for writing this story. It's a case of blaming the victim. Lacey races home early to be with the man she loves and finds him lock lipped with a woman. What happens? Lacey gets spanked by her husband, her dad, looked down on by mother and friends, blamed by neighbors.... Shame on you Kaye. It's bad enough you blamed Lacey but you ended the story having Lacey apologize. Lacey should have been beating Devlin's butt but good.

I didn't like this story at all, I couldn't get passed the fact that everyone including her parents seemed to think that Lacey should get over her husband's betrayal. There is no excuse in my book for a husband kissing another woman when they are alone. To make matters worse he rubs her nose in it by dancing with the same woman at a Christmas party. At no point does he actually say I am sorry we read that he is thinking it but never does he apologise to his wife. As for punishing her because she worries him when she drove away to go to her parents.... I can't decribe how wrong this story feels to me. I usually like this genre but this book left me cold it certainly didn't feel like Christmas.

This is a good story about a man missing his wife and makes a mistake. When his wife leaves him for good reason he chases her down to make sure she knows how sorry he is no matter what he has to do to get her to listen. It was a good story because Lacey was no doormat and Devlin was truly sorry.

This is a great story! I fell in love with the characters and so hope for a sequel! Cant beat a handsome cowboy and a strong willed cowgirl! I gave it a 5 star rating! cc

I was a little disappointed in this story. It had some good elements and moments but it missed living up to its potential. Devlin was not sorry enough and didn't redeem himself enough for me to really enjoy the story.

This was good story. Even though she was mad at her husband and rightfully so he didn't let her get away with misbehaving.
