Everybody loves a wedding, or so they say. There's something about a couple in love, at least there is when she's not driving him crazy and he's not spanking her bottom.

Bridget loves Dell, but can't cope with her meddling future mother-in-law hijacking her wedding plans. Dell loves Bridget, but is having a hard time reconciling his out of control fiancee with the woman he fell in love with.

Abby, Bridget's best friend doesn't get the whole 'spanking' thing, but she's about to get a much clearer understanding of the entire concept when she wakes up next to a naked Connor McCabe, Molly's brother, a former Navy Seal who wants to know what she's doing sleeping off a drunk in his bed in the first place.

The moon was barely a sliver in the sky as he jogged the last few hundred yards to the door on the side of the building. Fingering the key that he’d carried all these many years like a talisman, he inserted it into the lock and opened the door. The stairway was black as pitch, but he didn’t turn on the light, just quietly made his way up. He knew the place like the back of his hand, had spent many of his teenage years sneaking down this same stairway.

When his grandparents owned the pub, he often spent the night upstairs in the small apartment, and even after his sister Molly and her husband, Patrick, took it over, he still considered it his home. He moved quietly, something that was second nature to him after all his time as a Navy Seal, instinctively avoiding the stairs that squeaked. Had he been a man who smiled easily, he would have smiled now. It did seem a little silly, entering the building with such stealth, but old habits were hard to break, and many times his life and the lives of those on his team depended on his ability to move without the barest breeze identifying his passing.

Opening the door, he set his bag down and secured the secondary lock behind him. He was tired, in body and soul, but at least he was free. He’d hiked the ten miles from the train station without giving it a second thought. It was too late to wake anyone to come and get him and he didn’t mind stretching his legs after what seemed like days cramped in a series of planes and trains. His long stint was over; he’d served his country, done it well and had a chest full of medals to prove it, but none of that mattered now. He was home, although he wasn’t quite sure how long he would stay. There were no officers to salute, no orders to follow and no one to worry about pleasing except himself. That in and of itself was a blessing.

Stripping, he left his clothes where they lay and walked naked to the bathroom, quickly relieving himself. It was a skill, being able to function in the dark, and one he took for granted as he entered his bedroom. Seeing the small lump in his bed, he swore softly. Damn, he was tired and sleep was just too appealing to be concerned. Besides, it was his bed!

Slipping under the covers, he pushed the little warm body over to the other side. It had to be Bridget, he realized, smelling the perfume. She was the only one who used this bed, usually when she was too drunk to make it home. Molly had written to him that Bridget was getting married, so what was the little witch doing here anyway? It would serve her right to wake up next to a naked man who was not her fianc. And if her fianc was half the man he needed to be to handle Bridget, why was he allowing her to act like this?

Connor finally smiled, hearing her soft snore. Because she was Bridget, that’s why. She was infuriating and endearing, wild and beautiful, and she had a way of wrapping a man around her little finger. There was a time he thought about claiming her for his own. She’d always had a little crush on him, a small spark he could have fanned into a raging flame had he desired to do so, but it wasn’t fair, not to either of them. She could never be good long enough for him to complete his military obligations; it just wasn’t in her. Bridget was a girlno, a woman now, he reminded himself, who would require supervision and attention. Connor was not a patient man. When he gave an order, he expected it to be obeyed, immediately and without question. Bridget would have driven him crazy, and in his profession it might have cost him his life. No, things had worked out for the best, Bridge was marrying some guy namedoh yeah, Delbert. Well, let’s hope Delbert was a little tougher than his name, Connor thought, before he rolled over onto his side and closed his eyes. Patting her gently on the ass, he grinned as he fell asleep.

It was the sound of activity downstairs that woke Connor in the morning. Thin streams of daylight snaked their way around the curtains, bathing the room in the cool light of dawn. He was lying on his back and curled to his side was a warm little bundle. Her head was resting on his shoulder and his hand was on her sweet little ass, holding her securely. One of her legs was thrown over his and wrapped around his thigh, her knee mere inches from his morning erection. The delta between her thighs heated his hip.

Maybe I will fight Delbert for her, he thought, smiling to himself. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d woken up with a sweet-smelling woman in his arms. Cracking one eye open he lifted his head, looked down and saw a tiny hand with pink nail polish clutching his dog tags. Relaxing, he closed his eye and savored the moment. Yards of glorious dark hair that smelled like the coconut macaroons his grandmother used to make curled across his chest and wrapped around the hand that was resting on her bottom. Funny, he thought, sliding his hand absently up and down her back, he couldn’t imagine Bridget dying her hair dark, but then girls did strange things in the name of fashion. It was incredibly long, he realized, and he liked that. A woman should look like a woman, in his opinion. At the moment he wanted nothing more than to wrap it around his fist and haul her on top of him. Now that would be a homecoming.

Although it would serve her right - waking up sprawled atop a naked man with an enormous hard-on, he thought, forcing the urge away. What the hell was she doing in his bed anyway? If she was mature enough to be getting married, she ought to be able to control her drinking. And why wasn’t her fianc keeping a tighter rein on her? Did he have any idea what he was getting himself into? Molly said he was a lawyer, which might be a good thing to have in the family because right this moment he felt like committing a crime. He wasn’t quite sure if he wanted to sit up and pull her over his lap, spanking the daylights out of her, or plunge his shaft into her sleepy body. Either way, it was hardly an auspicious beginning to his life as a civilian. In the end, he contented himself with a sharp crack to her butt.

“Wake up, Bridge,” he ordered in the voice he reserved for the rawest of recruits.

A weak little mew was her response, so he repeated the smack, this time with more force.

“Hey,” she cried, popping her tousled head up and staring at the huge stranger pressed intimately against her. Her brown eyes widened in shock and as she opened her mouth to scream, Connor clamped his hand over it and flipped her on her back. She was unable to move a muscle. The man seemed to be made of sinew and steel, and her eyes rapidly took in every detail of his form in case she had to give a description to the police.

He appeared to be well over six feet, although she couldn’t be sure without him standing, but her feet only came to somewhere around his knee caps. His hair was blonde and cut in an extremely short military style, and he had a tattoo on his shoulder that she couldn’t make out. Crystal-blue eyes stared into hers and his full lips were twisted in irritation. They narrowed when she tried to bite his palm, and his eyes absolutely dared her to try it again. His bulging biceps held her easily despite her struggles, and when she was weak and panting, he finally smiled.

“Are we done now?” he asked with an inquiring eyebrow.

She nodded her head in the affirmative, fully intending to scream her fool head off the moment he uncovered her mouth.

“Just so we understand each other, I’m giving you fair warning that if you scream when I remove my hand, I will blister your ass even if it brings the entire neighborhood running. Now who are you and what are you doing in my bed?” he demanded, slowly removing his hand.

The girl shivered, clutching the covers close when he released her, but she seemed incapable of speech. He could see the tiny rim of gold around her irises as she tried to process what was happening. Finally she sat up, her hair cascading around her.

“I’m waiting,” he said sharply.

“I’m Abby,” she replied softly as her eyes searched for a means of escape that didn’t include going through him.

“Abby who?” he asked, watching her thought process as though she’d written it down for him.

“Abigail Stevens. I’m a friend of Bridget’s, Sir,” she croaked out.

Connor hid his smile. “And what are you doing in my bed, Ms. Stevens?” he asked, a little more gently.

“There was a party at the pub last night and Iwell, I had a little too much to drink.”

“Now why doesn’t that surprise me?” he said, rising from the bed, stark naked. He walked across the room and opened a dresser drawer, pulling out a pair of sweats and stepping into them.

Abby pulled the covers over her head even though she didn’t want to. Crap, what a body he had. She could actually see each muscle group moving independently as he walked. His thighs were like tree trunks, his ass so tight she had to cover her eyes to stop looking at it. He could be a model; his body was so perfectly sculpted. He had to be part of the O’Malley family in some way, and how did she meet this perfect specimen of a man? Probably drooling and snoring! Great!

“I’m sorry, Sir,” she murmured, “Bridget said it would be alright if I slept here.” God, could she get any more pathetic? And where the hell was that ‘Sir’ coming from? He was definitely of the military persuasion, but she certainly wasn’t one of his subordinates! “I didn’t know this apartment belonged to someone,” her muffled voice continued from under the covers.

“I imagine Bridget left that part out,” he stated grimly, wondering just how many people had slept in his bed. He would have to see about getting the mattress replaced, he realized. “You can get up now; I’m decent,” he told her firmly.

“I’m not,” she whispered.

“For God’s sake, take those covers off your head,” he ordered, “and considering you just spent the last several hours with your delectable little body curled up against a naked stranger, I wouldn’t think it would matter much. Now get up and get dressed. I need coffee and you’re going to go downstairs and get us some.”

Abby uncovered her head and inched her way cautiously to the edge of the bed. She was going to kill Bridget when she got her hands on her. Looking around she saw her jeans on the floor about three feet in front of him. Wrapping the sheet around her, she walked slowly to pick them up, holding them in front of her as though they were a shield.

Connor smiled. She was a tiny little thing and obviously terrified. Good! He hadn’t lost his touch. She had no business getting so drunk she couldn’t get herself home in the first place.

Backing up to the bed, Abby sat, sliding into her skin-tight jeans as far as she could while sitting down. Standing, she turned her back to him and tugged at the waist, giving a little jump as she wiggled her ass to get them in place. Sinking to her knees and thankful that she’d slept in a cami and panties, she crawled around, looking under the bed for her shoes as Connor enjoyed the view.

God, he’d been celibate far too long if this child could affect him so powerfully. She didn’t even look old enough to drink, he thought, wondering how the hell she’d managed to get served downstairs.

“How old are you, Abigail?” he demanded, causing her to jump and rap her head on the bed frame.

“I’m twenty-six,” she replied, sitting back up and rubbing her head.

Connor snorted. “I imagine you have ID to prove that?”

“Yes,” she snapped, finally letting her irritation show. “Look, Mister, whoever you are. I’m sorry I used your bed last night. Bridget told me this apartment belonged to her brother-in-law and he never used it. Had I known someone else was using it, I would have walked home rather than go through this third-degree.” Rising to her feet, she faced him, determined not to let him intimidate her further. She didn’t give a rat's ass that he towered over her and was built like a tank. For the past three years she’d put up with attitude from her boss, her estranged parents, and a million rich-bitch customers, and she’d almost had her fill. She had a hangover, complete with a pounding headache before he caused her to bump her head, and now it was worse.

Picking up her jacket from the chair, she snagged her purse and moved toward the door, barefoot.

“Just where do you think you’re going?” Connor asked, crossing his massive arms over his chest.

“I’m leaving! You can get your own damn coffee and I hope you choke on it,” she growled, walking past him.

Now he did laugh. Threw his head back and laughed out loud as his arm snaked around her waist bringing her to an instant stop.

“What’s so funny?” she demanded, glaring up at him.

“You,” he replied. “You're five foot nothing, weigh a hundred pounds if you’re lucky, and are barefoot, and exceedingly mouthy. I can see why you and Bridget are friends,” he continued, grinning. “Sit down, Brat. I’ll find your shoes.”

“Who are you?” she asked, sitting on the edge of the chair.

“I’m Connor McCabe, Bridget’s missing brother-in-law,” he replied, snagging her shoes from under the bed and handing the heels to her. “Come on. Let’s go downstairs and I’ll get us some coffee and find something for your headache,” he said, pulling on a T-shirt that did nothing but accentuate his incredible abs.

Connor waited until she had slipped her shoes on and stood up before holding out his hand. When she took it, he pulled her close and tipped her chin up.

“There is one thing you need to know, little one,” he said gently, staring into her dark eyes.

“Yes?” Abby gulped, trying not to let his deep voice intimidate her.

“The next time I find you in my bed, you won’t be getting out of it unscathed.”

“Agreed,” she replied, letting him lead her down the inside stairway, “and back at ya.”

Connor had to admire her spunk, for a little thing, she had balls.

Loved the story. Love the family. Almost felt I was there when they got into the family food fight. I have to get the rest of the series.

This has to be my favorite series out there. How can you not love each and every character in these books. I wasn't sure what the dress was going to be, but i was glad she went with it. Like the addition of Conner and Abby, and the surprise for Molly. You would love to be involved with anyone from this family. Very good read!

Steve has done it again. I love Bridget. She is so fiesty and independent, and Dell is learning to take it all in stride. I am not sure, however, when it comes to Conner. I know that he will be good for Abby, but not sure about the whole Daddy/daughter concept. You can bet, however, that I will read the next story to find out!

There are times that you wish there was a 6th star you could give a book This is one of those times. I love that we get to peak into the lives of the O'Malley's family and friends. It was such a great read I went back and reread the other books in the series once again. What I'd really love to read next in this series is the parents, Sean and Maeve's story. How it all began.

Great book. Just as great as any of the O'Malley stories. I have not read a book by Stevie MacFarlane that hasn't been great and this one didn't disappoint. I hope there is a book in progress for Connor and Abby's story.

A continuation story with the O'Malley Family! This is another one of the O'Malley family members, the youngest, and spoiled Bridget and her engagement and marriage to attorney Delbert Bertram Winston, IV or as Bridget referred to him as Winston. Bridget, being raised in the home of parents Sean and Maeve O'Malley had grown up with a life of domestic discipline, her siblings maintained that lifestyle and with encouragement from her brothers to Winston, he was carrying on that lifestyle. His mother does not approve of Bridget for his wife and there is conflict in their relationship. Many times Winston must take Bridget in hand over her careless behavior too. In the end, Winston and Bridget marry and the wedding is as they want, not his mother. We also have Connor McCabe who is the brother to Molly who is married to Patrick O'Malley. He returns from his military life as a SEAL and finds Abigail "Abby", Stevens, Bridget's best friend drunk in his bed. Connor and Abby start in a relationship that not only includes domestic discipline but Age Play too, Connor refers to himself as Daddy and Abby as his baby girl. I see another story here!

Another great Stevie MacFarlane story about the O''malley family. This continues the story of Bridget and Del. there is lots of DD and some laugh out loud moments and introduces Abby and Conner. I hope hint, hint that there will be more of Abby and Conner.

Another wonderful addition to the O'Malley series. Bridget is the youngest, wildest, most impulsive of all the O'Malley's and is preparing to marry the rather staid Delbert. These two were my favorite O'Malley couple and I thoroughly enjoyed reading another story about them. Dell has to contend with both his interfering mother and his unconventional fiancee. I was glad to see him stand up to his mother in this one, instead of expecting Bridget to bow to her wishes all the time. The side story with Connor and Abby was interesting as well, but I found him to be too intense. That first spanking was harsh and he really had no right to do it as they weren't in a relationship yet. The age-play aspect isn't my thing either, so I am not sure how I will feel about the next story, but I definitely want to continue reading about the O'Malley clan!

This is a wonderful story. It is a great addition to the four other stories about the O'Malley family. This one is mainly about Delbert Bertram Winston 4th and Bridget O'Malley. This story starts where The Not-So-Lucky Bridget O'Malley leaves off. Del and Bridget are planning their wedding. Del's mother, Clarice continues to be difficult just as Bridget continues to antagonize her. Both women are taken to task by their husbands though we are left guessing as to what Clarice's punishment is. We also meet Connor, who is Bridget's brother's brother-in-law who is beginning a relationship with Abby who is the assistant in the dressmaker shop involved in Bridget's St Patrick's Day dress fiasco. Their relationship has a very light age-play element to it. It appears the next book will be about Connor and Abby and I am anxious to see how far that age-play element goes. I loved reading about the O'Malley family again. Their family dynamic is such a pleasure to read about.

Talk about a really fun read... I believe even people who don't enjoy spanking books will enjoy this book... Bridget O'Malley is one super feisty young lady engaged to an exteriorly staid Delbert Bertram Winston the 4th (with a name like that it's a wonder he got through high school)... With her partner in crime Abby (who is also having problems with Molly's {Bridget's sister-in-law} ex-SEAL brother) Bridget get's into all these scrapes that leaves the reader shaking their heads... You do not have to read the first books of the series to enjoy this books, but I must say reading the first five books before this one will help you enjoy this one much more since the you would know and understand all the characters in the books, which are all very well developed... Of course, now I wait with baited breath for the book on Abby and Connor...

This is the first of this author's books that I have read and I really enjoyed it. It's a family saga but there is enough difference between the members of the family to add depth to the characters. There is also a lot of spirit and a lot of love written into the characters and their deeds. I will make a point of reading some more of this author's works now.

I love the books this author writes. Every time you read one you never want to put it down, The O'Malleys are such a loving family, so nice in this day and age. Bridget and Dell make a great couple and as usual I laugh at the sense of humor the author has. I have read them all, they just get better all the time. I hope the O"Malley family books keep coming

Stevie MacFarlane has really done it with these O'Malley stories! I also stumbled across the first one and fell in love! The characters are soooo much fun to read about!! And there are so many of them, an entire extended family! The entire family practices DD, which in turn means there are lots of spankings! In this one, we meet Molly and Connor, two new characters, but the book really centers on Bridget O'Malley and her wedding. As with all of these O'Malley books I laughed out loud while reading it. My advice is pick one and start reading. You won't be disappointed!

Wow!! This author is definitely one of my favorites. I've read all of her books and they never disappoint. This one is no exception. I couldn't put it down. It grabbed my attention from the very first sentence and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next till the very end.It was full of humor, family, friends, and love. The characters are real people who you can identify with and enjoy. I felt like I wanted to be a part of the O'Malley family with all the teasing and the support they have for each other. Bridget's escapades are the ones we fantasize about but usually wouldn't have the courage to carry out. If you haven't read the rest of the O'Malley books ( this is the 5th in the series ) then don't miss out. They all are complete reads on their own but add another dimension to the story if you read them all. If your looking for an exceptional romantic read you'll love this one.

If you haven't read the rest of the O'Malley books ( this is the 5th in the series ) then don't miss out. They all are complete reads on their own but add another dimension to the story if you read them all. If your looking for an exceptional romantic read you'll love this one.

I just love this series by Stevie MacFarlane. I have read every one and I think they just keep getting better and better. Dell and Bridget are so right for each other and it was a pleasure to read their story, visit with the entire family, and I loved the HEA. I sincerely hope that the next story is with Abby and Connor because that is a story with huge potential :)

First of all, you need to know that this is the fifth book in the series about the O’Malleys. I know they say they are stand-alone books, and they are to a point, but do yourself a favor and read the other books as well. It will help you understand the background of the family. That being said, I loved this book! This is mostly about Bridget O’Malley. She believed that her fiancée was not a spanker like her father and brothers. And, she was right, until the male members of her family had a talk with him. And, he became a spanker. Unfortunately, Bridget has already fallen in love with Dell. This story is about how she comes to accept spankings, even though she is against them. So, there are lots of spankings in this story. They are all given lovingly by the men that love them. I highly recommend this story and , please, if you haven’t read the others, go back and do so. They are all great!

Well Stevie MacFarlane has done it again. The O’Malley’s are back and they never disappoint. I received this book as an ARC and devoured it in one sitting. Bridget has always been my favorite of the O’Malley clan. She is sassy, bratty, impulsive, sweet and underneath it all, more than a little vulnerable and unsure of herself. Following their story in The Not So Lucky Bridget O’Malley, her and Dell are trying to work things out. She can be out of control, but he is learning just what she needs to come back to reality. He needs a wife that can be at his side in society, but he’s not so sure he wants to lose his little brat. Join them in the next part of the story where it takes a lot of talking (both literally, and the over the knee kind that we all love) but just maybe they can make this work. Added to that we get to meet another couple. When former SEAL Connor returns home without warning he finds a tiny woman in his bed. Abby is Bridget’s best friend, and Connor is basically one of the family. Sparks fly between the couple, and pretty quickly Connor is ready to fan them into flames. But not the way Abby might want…he has a lesson to teach her, and he knows just how to do it. A fantastic intro to a couple that I hope we will all see again soon. This book is everything that a spanking story should be. Strong, sassy women and their much stronger men who know just how to bring them back into line when they go too far. Sweet domestic discipline, that’s loving, naughty and wonderfully strict when it needs to be.

This has got to be my new favorite Stevie MacFarlane book. I love getting to read more about past character. The continuation of Dell and Bridget’s engagement is awesome. This book also introduces Connor and I can’t wait to read more about him. Please! Please! Please! Let there be another book! Stevie MacFarlane is a fabulous author that pulls you into the story and makes you long to be a part of the O’Malley family!

I really loved this book, so much so that I went and bought one of the previous books in this series. I hope the rest go on sale to, as I'm low on funds and only buy things that are on sale.

This was a delightful book about a family where all the men firmly believe in the benefits of domestic discipline. The main character, Bridget, thought she had chosen the perfect man to be her husband. Dell seemed to be a solid character who would think the idea of actually spanking his precious fiancé would be simply awful. Bridget has mixed feelings when her brothers not only take Dell into their confidences and teach him that DD is the only way to handle their feisty sister, Bridget also learns that Dell is not quite as 'proper' as she might thing as he discovers that the internet offers all sorts of deliciously wonderful things to try. As Bridget tries to come to terms with not only her fiancé's new theories of discipline, she also has to tend to his mother, a woman who definitely would not choose this girl for her precious, perfect son's mate. Abby, her best friend and cohort into mischief, discovers her own world turned upside down when she wakes up beside a very sexy, very naked man after having too many drinks and being told by Bridget that the bed's occupant was out of the country. Connor, a well trained soldier who has just left the service, doesn't seem to mind his bed partner and makes it his new mission to prove to the beautiful petite girl that he is the only man she needs. This book has great characters, a huge and well meaning family, husbands who all spank their wives and wives that secretly love being taken in hand by these dominant men. I enjoyed the books length and depth in developing every character. If you like great spanking stories with some sex thrown in, you will definitely enjoy curling up with this one.
