I found these two books to be well written with believable characters who grow and adapt to their changing situations. Two well bred women taken in hand by the men who love them enough to do it. Lucia and Celia are sisters who find their soul mates in Marco and Tomi. Amidst love, laughter, pain and anguish these two couples brave the tumultuous times and find love and happiness...usually after the ladies have received their well deserved spankings. The spanking and sex scenes were very hot and we'll written but I would have liked a bit more anal action. All in all well worth the read.

I enjoyed these books from start to finish. The characters were well developed and are like real people; they aren't perfect. Marco is a good dominant man with a need to protect his heart. Lucia is a good submissive wife to him but she has her limits too. Their story is full of romance and conflict and only got better when Celia appeared at their back door. The menage relationship worked well as there was no jealousy between the twins. The same can't be said when Tomi entered the picture and struggled to deal with Celia having had the affair with Marco and Lucia. With plenty of discipline, conflict and romance, both books were great, especially read one right after the other.

This box set contains two very well written historical romances. I loved the transition of Marco from cold and calloused in the beginning to a warm caring husband for Lucia and guardian for Celia. Lucia makes the perfect submissive, she wants nothing more than to please Marco, but at the same time refuses to be a doormat for him and his affairs. When all three come together it makes for some incredibly hot discipline and sex scenes. Celia is a little harder to tame that Lucia, and Tomi lacks Marco's experience with women. This makes for a considerably more tumultuous relationship than Marco and Lucia's. Thankfully the two have Marco and Lucia to guide them along in the second part of the box set.

When you are reading this book, you must keep in mind that it takes place in 1482. When women had no rights and were not much more than a piece of property. With that in mind, these love stories are more enjoyable. These were really good reads, though how the men acted at time I didn't like, but again it was the way of the time period. These twins, they close, but so different from one another. One was calm and peaceful and the other was full of energy and wanted to explore the world. Lucia was the calm one and when her father wanted to marry her off to the Count of Parma. Problem was the Count didn't really want a wife, however there were benefits with Lucia, her knowledge of wine-making. He had planned on take her as a wife, but keeping her at a distance and keeping his whores in town. However, as he got to know her would things change? Then when Celia comes to them broken and battered not only from her father whipping her after he found out she was pregnant. She was raped while escaping her father. The Count takes her in. After losing her baby, Celia isn't sure what she can do next, but the Count protects her and defends her. One night, her sister invites her Into their bed. However, when Celia's childhood crush is hired at the Count's winery will things change? Will Lucia and the count find happiness? WIll Celia ever get her happiness and peace? Is Tomi enough of a man for Celia? Though there are some dark parts of the story, it is a good read with entertaining characters and lots of twists to keep you guessing. I enjoyed both parts of the story, but as I said sometimes the men's attitude and behavior really irked me.... I was given this book in exchange for an honest review

I will admit that this story will not be to everyone’s liking because there will be cheating involved this story. But reader, you must step out of your comfort zone and place yourself in this time period and mannerism of 1482 Italy. The plot offers an arranged marriage, adultery, making deals, saving damsels in distress and plenty of punishments. “For Marco, he was the man, the master, and he could choose to entertain himself as he pleased. Whether she’d liked it or not, he was exercising his rights.” Lucia becomes the wife he never had with his first marriage and worth taking a risk with his heart. Throw in her twin sister, Celia, with multiple scenes of ménage à trios, and this trio makes a formable team. The plot picks up from Loving Lucia with Tomi leaving Dante winery and going to Parma. So many times he questions that move, but he made his bed and will have to deal with it. Jealousy comes into play, several volatile confrontations, fits of rage and harsh discipline, and a near death experience before these two realize what is important and act on it. In the end, it will mend a riff and pull a family together.
