Julia Dailey has a secret. She’s an imposter planted on Pleasure Island, an undercover agent who’s investigating visitors to the exotic, exclusive getaway. Until now, she’s been able to pretend at face value that she is part of the lifestyle. But that all changes when she receives a new set of instructions from headquarters. She’s to get close enough to their latest suspect that she will be forced to do something she’s never considered herself capable of doing – submit.
Collum Robinson is an Australian guitarist with the band The Harbingers, with a dark and lonely past he’s never fully escaped. At clubs around the world, he has women fighting over the chance to end up in his bed for the night. Never one to turn down a willing, soft body, he enjoys the fairer sex, frequently. But he’s never met a woman who wanted more than a night with the fabled rock star – or one he wanted to keep. Until he meets Julia.
As they become intricately intertwined, Collum wants to make Julia his, but when her identity is revealed, can he forgive her betrayal? And will Julia be able to convince him where her loyalties lie and that he is the only man for her?
Publisher’s Note: Book five in Anya Summers’ bestselling Pleasure Island series contains explicit scenes and adult language.
“Get close to him.”
Julia winced at Director Cruz’s order. Sitting at the desk in her one-bedroom apartment on the island, she stared at the photos spread across the smooth wooden surface. Sexy, sinful, the man in the images was the stuff of fantasies brought to life. Chiseled jaw, sandy brown hair a smidge longer than was fashionable, and dark chocolate eyes that seemed to have invented the smolder. She shivered. Seducing him was the last thing she wanted, not after everything she had witnessed on the island. She said, “I don’t think that’s a good idea. You don’t understand what they do here.”
“You said you could handle it, or was that a lie? These are your orders. I cannot stress the paramount importance of discovering how deep the connections run.”
“And if I just can’t?” It was her job to infiltrate the enemy camp. She knew that was why Cruz had installed her on the island in the first place. Julia had a very specific skillset with which she could morph into and play whatever part necessary to uncover intelligence they could use to arrest and convict organizations and people. But she’d never been forced to go so deep undercover before—or have the insinuation mean she had to use her body.
“Then I need to know now and we’ll pull you out,” Cruz stated. The man was all business with no hint of remorse over the lengths she’d be required to go to on this case.
“But the mission?” She’d been working this investigation for almost two years. It was her baby. No one would take it away from her, not when she was so close to uncovering the linchpin in the operation.
“Do you think you’re the only operative I have on the island? I would think you’d know me better by now. Can you do the job or not?” Cruz questioned, his voice blunt, and immovable in his stance.
Julia had believed she was until he’d said it like that. Who were the others Cruz would activate should she fail her mission? He really didn’t know what he was asking her. Could she do it? Did she really have a choice? She felt the shackles slide around her, binding her to this path. There really was no choice at all, at least, not any decent ones. As much as it galled her to do it, she could only move forward with the plan. Her finger traced the outline of the man’s jaw in the picture.
It meant Julia had to do whatever was necessary. Forging her backbone with steel, she’d play her part. Cruz wouldn’t order her to go to these lengths unless it had become imperative to solving the case. Were she to succeed, it would mean a promotion. She’d finally be in charge of her own ops. What choice did she have really but the path that had already been laid out beneath her feet the moment they touched the island? None. She said, “I’ll see it done.”
“That’s what I wanted to hear. You have seventy-two hours to get close to the mark and uncover what he knows. Otherwise, I pull you off the case and the island. I want an update in forty-eight hours.”
“Yes, sir,” she replied, slipping the photos back in the file. She had a plethora of articles and intel to study on her target before she introduced herself.
And the line went dead.
“I told you not to contact me on this line,” he snarled into the receiver as the luxury boat swayed beneath his feet. Storming into the bathroom to ensure no one overheard him, he closed the door. Even the restroom was luxuriously appointed.
“You’re not getting cold feet on me, are you? Aren’t you the one who wanted this deal in the first place?” the voice on the line said with a dig.
He could almost see the smile on the smug bastard’s face through the phone, and braced his body as the boat sped through the water.
“No, I’m not getting cold feet at all. As long as I get what we agreed upon.” That way, he could walk away from it all. Then he could finally stop pretending to be something he wasn’t. It was the only reason he had agreed to this messed up deal in the first place. He knew the risks he was taking were exponential, yet the rewards—should the deal go off without a hitch—would set him up for life.
“Good. Because there would be consequences if you did,” the partner from hell murmured.
He gnashed his teeth. He had witnessed first-hand what happened to those who crossed El Jeffe. He shivered and his stomach soured. The breakfast he’d surreptitiously enjoyed in Nassau turned to lead in his gut. Experiencing one of El Jeffe’s retributions wasn’t how he wanted to end up. Gripping the phone at his ear tighter, he ignored the fear clamoring up his throat and said, “I said I’m not backing out. The island is the perfect spot. They will never even suspect a thing because of who I am.”
“As long as we’re clear,” his partner, more like the devil himself, warned through the receiver.
His eyes closed. So much was riding on this one transaction. “We are. Was there something you wanted?” He couldn’t wait to have this all over with so he could disappear. He wasn’t a fool. These men weren’t his friends or business associates but cut-throat criminals. Which, he guessed, meant he was one now too. But the ends justified the means.
“Yes, the drop has been scheduled on the island in three days. I’ll send you the coordinates.”
“Not to this phone. You know the drill. I don’t want anything connecting me to it.” That way, if it went south, there were others who would be blamed.
“I understand perfectly. As long as you uphold your end of the bargain and meet me in three days, everything will go according to plan.”
“I will,” he said. And then he planned to give the rest of his life the bloody finger, including El Jeffe himself. From a safe distance, of course. He wasn’t suicidal.
“Good. Don’t disappoint me.”
He ended the call. Then sucked in a ragged breath to calm his nerves. This would all be over soon enough. He just had to keep his act together and play his part for a measly three days. Then he could vanish, begin a life that was his to command. Until then, there was no reason he couldn’t enjoy himself on the island. That was its purpose to begin with.
Who was he to deny himself the pleasures of the flesh?
This is the 5th book in the Pleasure Island series although it can be read standalone.
I enjoyed this book as we watched Julia struggle with her feelings for Collum, while still trying to investigate him for drug smuggling. When they were together their emotions seemed to override everything and the investigation would begin to slip away from Julia, then she would bounce back. Collum meanwhile was getting mixed signals from Julia and was a little suspicious about it as women were forever after him for his fame and not himself.
I love books like this, with well written internal thoughts and feelings on what's happening, I would recommend this book.

Her Rockstar Dom is one of Anya Summer%u2019s Pleasure Island series books, number 5 to be exact. While I%u2019ve been admittedly iffy on the series, I actually really liked this fifth installment of the author%u2019s offshoot of the popular Dungeon Fantasy Club series.
Our couple consists of Julia, an operative who is sent to the deliciously kinky island to try to get information on a drug smuggling ring. To do that, she has to play submissive to rocker Collum Robinson, who is her number one suspect. Of course, she%u2019s new at the whole BDSM game, and completely takes Collum by surprise. The obvious hijinx ensue, and there are a few misunderstandings along the way.
So far, I think this has been the best of the series, and Ms%u2019 Summers is really hitting her stride. Plus, I enjoyed the fact that it showed that doms are human too!
I have to say this was the most intense Pleasure Island book published to date. I don't mean in the bdsm sense (barely any of that at all), but emotionally. You are easily drawn to both characters and there aren't any other characters more alike than Collum and Julia. Great story!
Here we go again with another great book by Ms. Summers. This one is book 5 in this series and I can't wait for the next one. This book deals with love, adventure, risks and conflicts. The two main characters, Julia, who is an undercover CIA Agent investigating Collum for drug smuggling and Collum, a rockstar, connect from the start but they both have issues from there pass that they are dealing with. Julia doesn't think she has a submissive bone in her body but Collum, who is also a Dom, brings out the submissive right away. It was great that passed characters were also made a part of this book which makes the follow from one book to the next with out any gaps but each book is also another story so they can be read as stand alones. If you enjoy reading hot BDSM books, you will love this one I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
The plot will have Julia and Collum meeting and her mouth and attitude getting her into trouble with him. He demands she either submits to his punishment or allow Master Jared to do it. What starts out as punishment, becomes an erotic sex scene at the poolside and then to his villa. This will be the beginning of their time together.
Two people with no plans for anything but a little fun together quickly becomes an addiction to each other. While Julia is doing a job and must stay undercover and keeping secrets, she is honest in revealing her lack of experience in BDSM, and various sexual acts. Collum is normally over a woman before the end of the night, but he can%u2019t get his fill of Julia. Together, he will take her on a journey into dominance and submission, BDSM, anal sex and more.
What happens when Collum and her visits the club at the resort and he wants to scene with her in public? Will her attitude and comments cause hard feelings and be the end?
Collum knows that Julia is hiding something and decides he needs answers. Will those answers shatter whatever relationship that has been forming between them permanently? Secrets, lies, betrayal, dishonesty, and more are stacked against them. Learning that what you thought was a special relationship was just being used for a job, unacceptable. But when it comes down to life and death, will the ultimate sacrifice scream the truth that you didn%u2019t want to see? Will they be able to accept that life isn%u2019t always black and white, but grayer and sometimes you have to forgive and move forward?
The story has a great cast of characters and explicit sex scenes. The chemistry between Collum and Julia is electric and sizzles off the pages.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for an honest review. This book is book 5 in the Pleasure Island series. it%u2019s the story of Collum and Julia. It was a good erotic read, but didn%u2019t have much substance. The entire story Julia proclaims she%u2019s not a submissive and it gets old. If you%u2019re looking for a quick read, this is a good choice.
This is another great book in a wonderful series. I loved these characters & the flaws that they each have & how this affects their relationships with people. I would have liked to find out more about Collum's background. I felt it referred to it & hinted at it, but didn't really provide any answers.
Wow, I loved this book!! Whether you read this book as a part of the Pleasure Island Series or as a standalone it is well worth your time! Julia Dailey is a CIA agent on a case that is investigating some of the people on the island. She is strong, independent, dedicated to her job, but shut down emotionally to men due to a past hurt. One thing she does know is that she is pushing her personal and professional limits on this assignment. Collum Robinson is a rock star and a Dom on a working vacation on Pleasure Island. He is thought of a player but only wants to be loved for who he is and not his job as a rocker. He enjoys the smaller things in life and wants someone genuine to share his life with. Can two emotionally damaged people find happiness together when there is so much deception involved? The author wrote a wonderful story with a plot that draws the viewer in and has them hoping that love can overcome the hurt and deception as well as the crime that surrounds Julia and Collum on their journey. While the story revolves around these two main characters, there are many secondary characters that add to the story and emotions in the characters interaction. There are drugs, crime, mystery, action, BDSM, love, lust, friendships, betrayal, and self exploration. Come read and enjoy this new adventure on Pleasure Island! I highly recommend this book as a must read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Her Rockstar Dom
Anya Summers has created a world where Doms and Subs can fulfill their wildest fantasies in the privacy of an exclusive island resort. In another amazing installment in the Pleasure Island Series, this story begins when CIA super-agent, Julia, goes undercover as a resort maid to catch a drug kingpin who is using Pleasure Island to smuggle in his wares. Her target is Collum, a gorgeous, bad-boy rockstar with a reputation for enjoying all that his fame has to offer. Her mission is to get him to notice her, so she can get close to him and find out his secrets. What she doesn%u2019t anticipate is the spark she ignites in this gorgeous dominant man, and how difficult it will be for a beautiful bad-ass like herself to bend to his will, or how breathtakingly erotic it will be. As the two delve deeper into their shared chemistry, Julia must keep reminding herself that he is a suspect and if all goes well and she cracks the case, this affair will end with Collum in handcuffs. Will her heart be broken in the process? An exciting read with lots of great scenes and spicy plot twists. Highly recommend.

The story of Julia and Collum is a love affair inside of a mystery. Julia is a CIA investigator and Collum is the person she is investigating at a BDSM club on an island in the Bahamas. They meet, and rapidly fall in lust with each other, leading to a lot of sex and some BDSM activities between them. They are both damaged emotionally, and it takes their new relationship to gradually lead each of them past their previous issues %u2013 but before they get there, there are serious problems involving the investigation and its effect on their relationship. I liked Collum as a person; I liked Julia less because of all her complaining to herself about how to reconcile her role as an investigator with her growing affection for Collum.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Julia is CIA. Her job is to infiltrate the island and get close to rockstar, Collum. Her job is to find out if he is involved with drug trafficking and if not, who is. The problem is that the island is for BDSM lifestylers and Julia is definitely not in the life. Collum is a Dom who is used to being the alpha, but somehow Julia is not finding that so hard to live with. Their attraction is overwhelming and she worries that Collum will hate her when he finds out she has been lying to everyone.
Sexy BDSM mystery
Anna Summers fifth book in her Pleasure Island series is another winner.
Julia and Collum's initial attraction is near combustible. But Julia worries that when Collum learns of her deception their growing relationship will implode. It was satisfying to see these 2 strong characters
find their way together inspite of the twists and turns in the story. As always, it's nice to see how some of characters from this and the previous series ( Dungeon Fantasy Club) are doing.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
This is book 5 in the Pleasure Island series but can be read as a stand alone book too. This is a story about an undercover CIA agent Julia who is pretending to be a submisssive whilst trying to catch a drug runner. She believes that Collum Robinson guitarist and sound engineer for the internationally successful Australian rock group Harbingers is the drug runner and she is trying to catch him taking delivery of a shipment from a Colombian drug lord. Of course it's a mistake but before that can be discovered, Julia has a lot to learn about herself and Collum finds he has a heart. This is the best yet of this series Ms Summers once again delivers, there is plenty of very hot and raunchy scenes, some x-rated. There is action, intrigue and excitement and the inevitable HEA. Excellent addition to what is shaping up to be an entertaining series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy.
This is definitely a case of not pre-judging a book by it's title. It is a good 4.5 star book.
Her Rockstar Dom was a well written, romantic suspense. It is full of secrets, intrigue, suspicion, and deception. It is also full of steamy hot scenes where Julie tries to figure out if she can truly submit to Collum.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.
Thank you Ms Summers for writing this wonderfully written and incredibly written story. I love this series and this is definitely a brilliant addition to it. There are plenty of different elements to hold the reader's interest. There is plenty of hot spicy sex and lots of fun. This book is a real page-turner. I loved all the characters, they are all very human and real. A wonderful read that I highly recommend. I received an ARC copy of this book and I highly recommend it.
Her Rockstar Dom is book five of the Pleasure Island series, but it can be read as a standalone as well. As usual, the book is very well written, the characters engaging and it kept me turning the pages. I simply love this series. Julia and Collum do have great chemistry. The love scenes were scorching hot, they felt very sensual. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and feel Her Rockstar Dom is a great addition to the series.
