Although extremely erotic, this story does not contain any spanking or BDSM themed content.

When Alexandrea spies sultry Billy Tripplehorn putting it to Miss Lucy–– right there against the church wall!––and then realizes he's being trapped as a daddy for the young girl's baby, Alex shanghais him to the Sisters of Samaria orphanage.

Big mistake: the three Sisters immediately seduce Billy to appease their own nefarious needs. By the time Andrea gets her turn, Tripplehorn is spooked enough by Pandora, Perfidia, and Miss Pink to escape their lair and run back to town––to find himself charged with murdering Miss Lucy, who is the magistrate's daughter. Andrea must find the real killer...and meanwhile must maintain her double identity as Alex Moore, Redemption's male attorney, to keep Billy safe.

But is anyone really safe from the wiles of three alluring vampires? And will Billy still swear his love for Andrea if he discovers her deception?

This is my first taste of this author and I wasn't thrilled. In fact, I was more confused than not...sometimes even bored. It felt like I was in the middle of two stories. One a vampire thriller and another love story. Two plot lines is wonderful, but I felt Macneal had no control over either story. She seemed to like the vampire story better since the detailing was far better, I just wanted more. I'll reread this to see if it gets better with time, but I'd like better.

This is definitly an interesting paranormal novel with lots of ups and downs and twists to keep the reader happy and interested. The plot was good and the characters were well thought out and interesting.

Melissa Macneal is very good at writing erotic fiction and I enjoyed her other books very much, but for some reason it was hard for me to get into this one.
The writing is good and the details wonderful but I think her other offerings are better.
