Jenny Simpson has spent her life in care homes and with foster families, and she has had more than a few run-ins with the law.  After being caught yet again, she's given one final chance by the courts to turn her life around.

Things soon go badly wrong for Jenny, and she finds herself homeless on the streets of 1970s London.  She encounters ex-judge Charles Smith on a bitterly cold December morning and promptly tries to pick his pocket, resulting in a quick trip over his knee and the promise of a much longer spanking later on her bare bottom.  Charles does manage to keep Jenny out of jail, and he takes her into his home and sets about the task of turning her life around with strict but loving discipline.

Jenny isn’t the first young lady to whom Charles has offered his home and his kindness, however.  His housekeeper Hazel, who he found on the streets just like Jenny, is initially jealous of this new young woman competing for Charles’ attention.  Soon, however, Jenny and Hazel become friends, and then good friends, and then much, much more than just friends.

Even as their newfound romance blossoms, Jenny and Hazel are still subject to the firm, fatherly discipline of Charles.  He is prepared to give as many long, hard, bare bottom spankings as necessary to turn both Jenny and Hazel into well-educated, respectable young ladies.

Publisher’s Note: The Charles Smith Method is an erotic novel that includes non-consensual and consensual spankings, anal play, graphic lesbian sex scenes, and more.  Very naughty! If such material offends you, don’t buy this book.

This was okay, I liked the dynamics between the characters, but unfortunately the writing itself kept getting in the way for me.

I liked the age play but not the F/F action. That put a damper for me. It was clear that the male authority loved both girls.

I didn't like this book too much. The main character jumps at the chance to go with this complete stranger after he spanks her in public. It felt implausible. I wouldn't recommend this book.

This was an enjoyable book, filled with lits of spanking. Charles takes a chance on Jenny and helps her out giving her a place to live, live, and lots of spankings. The inly thing I didn't like was not learning if Hazel ever confessed her lies to Charles.

While I enjoyed this book, I was confused about the lack of any apparent sexual satisfaction that Charles appeared to derive from his punishment of the young women. It was difficult to fully accept his offer as completely altruistic. While the story hinted as his hidden desire for a more intimate relationship with his long-time live in, Helen, there was no evidence of any other sexual relationship for him. Perhaps this is in another story I have yet to read.

One of my favorites from this site. Great spanking and I loved the non-traditional romance element to the story. If you're turned off by the idea of F/F action then this isn't the one for you. My favorite part (spoiler alert) was when the girls get punished for having sex in the kitchen.

I liked the story line between the 2 main characters. How he was going to reform her but as said before I was not thrilled about the whole lesbiaIn affair. Maybe if I was expecting it, it would have been easier.

I really liked this book, until the lesbian play at the end. I do not remember reading a warning that that would be in this book. And I was quite happy with their relationship being alluded to, intead of showcased at the very end. It alsmot semed like two different stories, in two different styles; and towrd the end, the author just decided to throw them both together. One or the other would have been perfectly acceptable. But there was no warning either in the explanation, or at the very least, leading up to it.

I agree with one of the previous reviewers--this story would have been MUCH BETTER had it dispensed with the lesbian aspect. Also, I think more struggle should have happened between the characters--otherwise, it just feels rushed. I certainly won't be buying the sequal.

This is a very interesting story and even though some parts aren't what I usually like to read about it was well written and and flowed smoothly. The characters were good and well developed which is always a plus when it comes to a story.

This story turned out much different then I expected but it was very, very good. Jenny is really down to her last chance to get her life together and Charles offers exactly what she needs to pull it together. There seems to be jealously at first with his housekeeper but that chances through the story in a big way.

As Reviewer Beverly said, this started off great ... but it went downhill before it was halfway done. There were several flaws in the continuity of the story - and throwing the lesbian thing in there had no purpose at all. Why do authors so often think that they have to do that? Contrary to public opinion, not everyone wants to see the gay crap everytime they turn around! M/f or M/F stories are so often ruined in this way. The author also made several attempts at adding a great humiliation factor to the story ... then just dropped the ball on it. Why? Why? Why? It would have added so much more to the story if this was expanded on! Humiliation (and more female resistance/struggle/overpowered factors!) always make a story more ... tingly! Way more than some lame lesbian scenes.

I loved this one! The story of a girl down on her luck and slightly criminally prone who gets spankings to rehabilitate is tantalizing. Hazel as the older housekeeper whose jealousy puts her over Charles' lap completes the picture - especially since there is hot F/F loving between Jenny and Hazel. I'm not normally into F/F but this was hot!

Charles, a retired judge, takes a wayward young woman off the streets of London and gives her a home and a second chance. He has a housekeeper, Hazel, that he rescued from the streets some years ago and she is of course jealous of Jenny. Lots of spankings as Jenny learns what is expected. Good story and good characters.

4 Stars..Charles Smith helps a homeless girl after she tried to steal his wallet. After firm discipline,Jenny begins to change and thrive in the loving but disciplined atmosphere as also his long time loyal housekeeper does after she gets her first spanking, she is able to reflect how good hes been to her. A very nice story that doesn't quite fit any category. It isn't a romance. It isn't ageplay, although it has more than a touch of the feel of age play. This tale of the rescue of a waif redeemed by a mentor with a firm hand is very good indeed. The spankings are well described, although there could have been more of them. Strongly recommended.

Kudos to Carol Archer for writing such a good book, especially right out of the park as a new author. The 1970s are not a time most ‘historical’ works are set in, but the proximity to the present can make getting details and feeling right all the more difficult. Carol pulls it off completely, and early 70s London, with all its grit and malaise, is shown in perfect detail. Just as the 70s were the twilight years for British greatness, it was also the twilight epoch of the vaunted strict school system and its corporal punishment methods. It’s easy to see Charles symbolic as a bastion of Britain’s past, a hard man created by a country that was still master of the world, bringing the wartime values to modern-day Jenny and Hazel, themselves victims of the ‘modern’ era’s moral decay. Ramblings of literary themes aside, the actual erotic aspects of this were excellent. It is able to merge the traditional ‘strict caretaker and bratty ward’ trope with vestiges of romantic domestic discipline and ageplay as Charles looks after Jenny and Hazel, as well as a more traditional romance as the love between the latter blooms. I will agree with Beverly’s review below that as the latter comes into play the tone of the book does shift, but I don’t think it does so in a way that isn’t organic to the story and characterization, and I don’t think it reduces the book’s quality. Overall, an excellent domestic discipline entry here.

This is one of my favorite books for quite some time. I can't even put my finger on exactly why, it is just that I found the book very, very hot. The spankings themselves were good, but what really set them apart was the lead-up and the dialogue which accompanied them. The relationship between the three characters is also interesting, with a growing love between Jenny and Hazel mixed with competition for Charles' attention. The father-figure role played by Charles is also fun to read.
