Maggie O'Malley Cassidy has a problem. Well, actually several problems. She's a widow, raising three children and trying to make ends meet. Well, if the ends didn’t exactly meet, at least they got close enough to wave to each other.  She has the unfortunate habit of skirting the truth now and then, not really a problem unless she got caught, but still a very tiny character flaw that she planned to work on just as soon as she got a free minute. But by far, her biggest problem was Nicholas Kord who has just found out that her oldest son, Jason, is also his only son. I mean really, who would have thought he'd show up after fifteen years and go all paternal on a child he hadn't even known existed. What were the odds of that coming back to bite her in the ass?

Nicholas Kord has his life on track; he is an accomplished attorney, and considered his trip home to be Best Man at his brother's wedding a long-overdue opportunity to reconnect with family and have a good time as well. He is still single and in all honesty, the man oozes sex appeal.

Nick was crazy about Maggie, always had been and always would be. When he saw his son for the very first time, he knew exactly who Jason belonged to and what Maggie had done. He was furious at first, but came to realize that a good portion of the blame fell on him. If he hadn't been so stubborn years ago, things might have turned out differently, but Nick is also a realist. The past cannot be relived; it's the present and future that matter. He still loves Maggie and he means to have her, one way or another, and he intends to cure her of her bad habits along the way. As far as he's concerned, Maggie had gotten her way for far too long, and it hadn't served her well. Her children need a father and whether she knows it or not, she needs a husband who will provide guidance and love; he can be all that and more. Nick has no problem applying a firm hand or taking a wooden spoon to Maggie's adorable butt when she misbehaves, which seems to be quite frequently. Who would have thought one knock on her door would change everything forever?

This was a very well written story, with a strong willed heroine and an even stronger willed hero. I loved the way the hero comes in and gives her the help she needs, even though she's reluctant to accept his help. I loved the kids in the story, and how the author showed the hero getting to know them while he was getting reacquainted with the heroine. Great book.

This is really a wonderful series. I enjoy all the characters, think they are believable and are definitely likable. With this story, I don't understand why everyone was angry at her for not telling them about Nick. Why was she the bad guy, she tried to call and write, but he wouldn't respond. She did what she thought was best for all 15 years ago. By all accounts it was what was best, until the untimely death of her husband. So now, because of that, they have a problem with her. I really understood her dilemma about not wanting to loose control of her life, as should her family if they cared for her at all. Also, your electricity would not be turned off if you only missed 1 payment, more like 3 or 4. That scenario was not believable. Some concessions should have been made for her for trying her best, instead of making her feel at fault all the time. Still, a very good story, and it helps to read them in order.

Great book. I had read the story of Bridget and Dell before reading this story. Once I read that one, I had to read the rest of the O'Malley stories. I liked this book just as well as the others and definitely recommend the story for anyone who loves romance, strong, spirited women and stronger and protective men.

Boy, all of these MacFarlane books have really gotten by blood boiling. I loved the stories, but kept getting mad at the men. Nick never seemed to understand how badly he hurt Maggie when he left her 15 years ago, but she still loves him and eventually they work things out. I just wanted him to understand and sincerely apologize. That said, it was very well written, and I couldn't put the book down until I finished it.

I LOVE Stevie MacFarlane! Nick and Maggie were made for each other. Maggie needs someone to keep her in line and Nick is the perfect man for the job. This book has plenty of everything, love, action, sass, and plenty of consequences.

A nice addition to the series, and I particularly enjoyed that the heroine was a strong, independent woman who learned to believe in a man's presence and help over time.

Part 2 in the O'Malley series... Once I started, I could not put it down, it's a good thing, most of the series has already been written, that way, I got to read the next book in the series immediately as soon as I finished the last one. The communication and pride problem of Nick and Maggie, leads to their missing out many years before they end up together... Another super believable story by Ms. MacFarlane with a wonderful plot.

Stevie MacFarlane is a wonderful writer. She's written a fun book bringing us a great couple in Mason and Rebecca story. A book about how men and women think and communicate. And how love makes it all worthwhile.

This is a good story about Nick and Maggie who are getting reacquainted after 15 years. I really liked Nick, his strength and character. The story didn't have much outside of a regular spanking story but it held my attention.

This is one of my favorite authors. Her stories of domestic discipline with lots of love and caring are well written and keep your attention from start to finish. This is the second book in her O'Malley series and it was filled with strong characters and realistic situations. Discipline was used for things that mattered. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to start the next book in the series The O'Malley Brides .

Loved, loved, loved this story! Did I say I loved this story? The characters are so real. This is the type of story you can not put down until you are finished. Which may not be a good thing when you have young children and stay up reading until four in the morning. :) Pleeeease add to this series!

I read this one first in the series and I was hooked - had to go and find the other two books the finish the same weekend! Nick and Maggie have amazing chemistry! The sex is steamy and the discipline is just right for the story. Some stories feel like they just add the spanking to make it qualify but it fits here as just a natural part of the story and I really liked that. You get to meet more of the O'Malleys in this one which is fun and a great lead in to the next book plus you get to check back in with Rebecca and Mason and laugh as she discovers Mason has been keeping a list of her behavior while pregnant. This one had a few more serious moments which was great too! Very well written and I highly recommend it!

Little White Lies take you on a journey of two lives that were meant to be together and would of been early on had it not been for pride and immaturity. Fifteen years later more mature but still prideful the two find themselves together. Well written story line, love scenes and exciting spankings. Very enjoyable story.

She is feisty, capable, and independent due to necessity. He is frustrated by a misunderstanding 15 years in the past. They butt heads more than once before they communicate well enough to come to an understanding. I love the fact that the author protrays Maggie as a woman capable of being successful in a job traditionally held by men, and how well she protrays the struggles of meeting the needs of a family while being a single parent.

I really loved this story. I had a little of everything, romance, sex, spanking, and humor. Nick is a great guy who finds out his high-school sweetheart had his child 14 years ago. Even though he is very angry at first, he is willing to forgive her but wants his son in his life. He also wants Maggie back, and as she is now a widow, he isn't going to let anything stand in his way, even Maggie. I really grew to love the characters in this book, especially Maggie's kids and her huge Irish family. Molly is also interesting and I hope to see more of her in the next book. No way can Ms. MacFarlane stop now. There are just too many great characters and I want to know them all. Another great read from this author!

Great follow up to Mason and Rebecca's story, although I wish we would have seen Rebecca in this one. Lots of fun and action in this one, but being able to read about Maggie's large family was especially fun! Nick was strong and firm without being harsh. He knew when holding Maggie was a better option than spanking her! The only thing I didn't like was how everyone blamed Maggie for not telling Nick about Jason 15 years ago. Even her own father did and I was hoping he'd sit Nick down for a serious talk instead of making his daughter feel worse! Everyone seemed to forget that she tried to tell Nick- she called and sent him letters that he returned. How long was she supposed to keep trying to reach him? I think a long talk about that incident was missing. I also kept waiting for Maggie to ask Nick how she could trust him again, but she never did. The side story with Jack the stalker was interesting but felt unresolved at the end. I kept waiting for something climatic to happen! I am looking forward to hopefully reading Rory's story next!

Excellent follow up to Changing Her Mind. There wasn't one thing I didn't like about this book. Everyone was real from Nick and Maggie, her co-workers, her kids and her wonderful family. Just like in real life, a single mom with three kids, they find time for hot sex and good spankings. Terrific ending to a very good love story.

This was a grat sequel to Changing her Mind. I loved the fact that Nick and Maggie got their own story and how even though it took 15 years that they are finally able to get their acts together and be a family. Of course nothing is easy and Maggie dies have a oroblem with always telling the whole truth all the time. Though Nick knows just how to take care of that little problem.

This was a good follow up story to the first book Changing Her Mind, it was a little slow and Maggie was more than a bit resistant. Nick was great, I loved how he was with the kids. I wish that Rebecca would have made an appearence it would have been nice to catch up. Not a lot of spanking scences but lots of tension.

Loved it! This was a sequel to Changing Her Mind, which I also loved. Having already met Maggie and Nick in the first book I couldn't wait to see how their story played out. I was not disappointed! Not only was the story filled with spankings and fun, it was hot! I really, REALLY hope the author writes a lot of sequels to this. She certainly has enough good characters to draw from in Maggie's family!

Really good story. The history between both Maggie and Nick make them almost seem real. Will be on my friend recommendation list

I LOVED this story. I'm an extremely picky reader and get frustrated that spanking stories often feel rushed. This one is well-paced and the ending feels earned.

I loved both books in this series very feisty women and equally strong men to handle them. I hope there's a 3rd book coming with rory and tess

“Little White Lies” is the sequel to “Changing Her Mind.” Ruggedly handsome and old-fashioned to boot, Nick kicks it up several notches from where he and strong-willed, independent Maggie left off in the first book. Nick fights for a place in his son’s life and Maggie tries to outsmart him in every possible way, always ending up with a bright red bottom. Stevie MacFarlane not only knows how to create darn good spanking scenes, and write hot sex scenes, she also knows how to write a thoroughly entertaining story that will captivate you from start to finish. Her characters are so well developed, I felt as though I knew them personally. However, I never knew them well enough to predict what they would do next or what the outcome would be. If you like spicy sex and discipline combined with love, you won’t be disappointed in this book. It is extremely well written and doesn’t bog the reader down with errors and typos…it just flows from beginning to end.

This book was an enjoyable read. I couldn't put it down. You get really involved in the story line and the situation Maggie is in. All the while you have to cheer Nick on. I like this new author Stevie MacFarlane, who makes you feel like you are right in the room with the characters. I liked the first book Changing Her Mind, I look forward to the next book.

This was a different story. Maggie and Nick are high school sweethearts and Maggie finds out she is pregnant. She is scared and cries in another boy's arms while tryong to figure out how to tell Nick. He thinks that she doesn't want him and then refuses to communicate with her. Maggie ends up marrying the boy. Fast forward 15 years and her husband has died. Nick is back and has found out her oldest child is his. He wants her back and and wants a relationship with his son. It is a wild ride!
