Overcoming what cannot be changed At first, I felt this book was moving to slow. Then I started noticing sudden differences with unexpected changes emerging slowly. Shani proved herself to the Hue warrior, and an amazing transformation happened to the worthy. Great story you should read. It ends in a delightful way. Makes turning the other cheek an understatement.

I initially wondered whether I would continue with the book as it was different to what I was expecting & not my usual type of read. That said, I'm glad I gave it another chance. What could have been a very dreary, standard story was lifted by the good telling of the story & the time spent fleshing out the characters. It became a really enjoyable read with characters that were more than the standard hers & villain.

I enjoyed seeing the story unfold from the two being enemies to finally loving one another and all the emotions and interactions they both went through to get to that point. It couldn't have happened if Kieran hadn't been a good man, a much better man than their two tribe leaders. Good story that developed well. What we find out at the end is a surprise.

A well written story. You Can feel hurt an betrayal that Shani and Kieran and his clan have discovered. Shani was sent there to kill there leader of the gods, but she want to die fighting like the warrior she is. BTW she captured by Kieran. Who believe she will make a wonderful slave. Maybe? But has their world turns upside down. They slow connected. But will their love be strong enough for them to be together?. Amazing story. I was given this story for a honest review.

I enjoyed this mystery romantic suspense story, packed full of secrets, lies, war, hatred, mistrust, and the unknown. Shani had been raised among the Makaha tribe as a warrior woman. She obeys her leader, Tapko, and had been taught how to fight and who was her enemy, the Huw clan. Kieran was a war leader of the Huw clan and following his spiritual leader, Palladin; he knows he is to destroy the Makaha clan. During a battle, Shani is captured, but that was so she would be taken to Palladin, what happens along with way opens the eyes of many of the Huw clan. Along the way to the Huw camp, Kieran will own Shani’s body and life to control as he sees fit. The plot twists kept me captivated in this erotic suspense where a battle of wills and desire come into play as these two warriors, Shani and Kieran lose themselves in passion and knowledge of their clan leaders. “You and I are not responsible for the hatred that has always existed between our clans, but we live with the consequences.”
