He stole her off the streets in broad daylight—the first Omega discovered in Bernard Dome in generations. He took her with violence while none intervened. He broke her, swearing he’d put her back together.

Brenya Perin was ordered to submit.

Bernard Dome is the jewel of Europe, a bastion of art and culture, pleasure and decadence. But life in the city depends on the occupation chosen for you at birth. There is no subversion, no question of who rules. There is no freedom.

Peace has a price, a price the Commodore of Bernard Dome is willing to pay… so long as the Omega remains his.

Shepherd’s influence is on the rise. His machinations are subtle, his hands full tending to his recovering mate. Her safety is his priority, and something he’s willing to risk war to assure. Bernard Dome has what he wants, and they will all be DAMNED if they deny him.

Publisher’s Note: The Alpha’s Control series, is a dark Omegaverse tale with explicit sexual themes and complete power exchange. If such material offends you, please do not purchase.

Great reading! I always love reading syfy as anything can happen! This story is the start of an Alpha and Omega relationship in the habitat of one of the remaining functional Domes.Bernards Dome where the Alpha has full control of everything and everyone in his domain. Brenya doesn't know what she is for this future and what it means to even be an Omega, mate to the highest entity in their sector. She soon finds out! A walk on the dark side of love, lust and the survival instinct. Can't wait for the next installment!

Unit 17C is also Brenya and she is a tech that discovers the flaw with a damaged
panel in the Bernard dome, the premier dome. She is doing a little repair until
the team could get out and replace it. Her rigging fails and causes her to fall
damaging her suit and helmet visor. She survives and you will want to read
this novel because there are so many twists, turns and surprises to come.

Post-apocalyptic settings aren%u2019t normally my thing, but WOW! Cain nails it in this one. She gripped me with her mesmerizing opening and kept me bound to the page with her wonderful story telling, great characters, and well-written plot.

THis was a dark steamy book. If youve never read a addison Cain book just know she's got sick twisted sence of romance. Just know it will come but maybe not till next book. this ends to what i constitute a cliff but it was a great story and i can't wait for more.

I'm not at all sure how best to review this book, but it may be easiest just to list the pros and cons as I see them.

Pros :

This book grabbed my attention and kept me riveted from beginning to end. even while I cringed over the ordeals Brenya had to endure.

The characters were so well described. Brenya in particular was amazing. It's not that I would react in the way she did, it's that her character was so well done and her reactions quite realistic within this completely unrealistic world at least I really hope it's unrealistic!

I was often left with the vague feeling that I just didn't understand what was going on, particularly in regard to Jacques and his machinations. The feeling that I just didn't "get it" was frustrating, although it may have been pretty much how Brenya felt and thus done on purpose.

General observations:

If you haven't read the Alpha's Claim trilogy it may be difficult to follow the sections about Shepherd and Claire. As I have read them, I was very interested in the continuation of their story.

As noted above, this book is a spin off (or continuation depending on your definition) of the Alpha's Claim trilogy. It is also the first in the Alpha's Control series, and does not stand alone. I'm not sure you can call the end a cliffhanger, but it definitely leaves you hanging.

Gritty is an understatement when it comes to this story. It is extremely uncomfortable in parts, going far beyond erotic to just downright yucky (technical term for "gross") in describing various fluids etc. I can't emphasize enough the importance of heeding the warnings.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

From the time I learned that Addison Cain was bringing out a new spinoff from her Alpha Claim series, I have heavily anticipated it. I have described it as a series you love to hate and personally considered the ending brilliant, allowing the reader to come to their own conclusions as to what truly happens with Shepherd and Claire. Well, readers, buckle up and get ready for a new ride and I look forward to the journey. While this is a spinoff, I do think the reader could start this series and not be lost if they missed reading Alpha%u2019s Claim series (but why would you want to miss it?)

Readers, brace yourself, this new series has two stories and two sets of main characters in one, but it all is in collaboration with each other. Shepherd and Claire will return, alive, and in Greta Dome and we meet Commodore Jacque Bernard and Brenya Perin of the Bernard Dome. The plot will switch back and forth between Greta and Bernard Domes and the characters in those areas. It will have the two leaders working on a trade agreement of Omegas for orange trees.

Once again, Ms. Cain has spun a tale that kept the pages turning with her altered world and reigning Domes after the Red Consumption has killed most of the inhabitants of Earth. The story is full of twists and turns, mystery and suspense, angst, bitterness, and power struggles. Alphas rule Betas follow, and Omegas serve. The scenes are explicit and include non-consensual, unequal power exchange, control, and not for those who do not enjoy dark erotic horror. I am looking forward to book 2, Corrupted.

I loved this fast paced full interesting story. It's not for the feint hearted. It really isn't! There is violence and abuse. I am sorry that I am coming in at the start of this series! I am so looking forward to the next one! All the characters are very well written and described. The world of the Done is well developed. I loved everything about this wonderfully written and enjoyable story. I received an ARC copy of this book and I highly recommend it.
