Stasha leaned forward in her chair until their lips were only a couple inches apart. “This can’t happen.”
He tilted his head, considering her words. “I know.” Pressing his lips against hers, he was unable to shove away his desire, a deep-seated longing that pushed him past any level of rationality. Gripping her neck, he tugged her forward, allowing the kiss to become a roar of passion. His head was foggy, words and thoughts drifting in and out of his rational mind.
Clinging to him, she whimpered, the sound floating between them as she darted her tongue inside his mouth. Every move was tentative, full of trepidation and she remained shaking.
Boone pulled her into a standing position and slipped his arms around her waist, easing her off her feet. The kiss became passionate, their teeth gnashing together, the sounds guttural.
She tugged at his shirt, yanking it from the waistband of his jeans and slid her hands underneath.
Electric jolts shot through every cell in his body, creating a wave of heat. He rubbed his hands up and down her back as he ground his groin against her stomach. The friction was killing him. Easing her down, he panted as he stared into her eyes.
Fisting his shirt, she gave him a lust filled smile, her breath ragged.
“By all rights I should plant you over my knee and give you the spanking of your life.”
“Why?” she challenged, a slight smile curling on her lip.
“Because you scared me to death. That shit is never going to happen again. You got it?”
“Yes, sir.” Fumbling with his buttons, she gave him a saucy wink. “A spanking, huh?”
“Hard. With my hand and my belt.”
Stasha darted a glance down to his belt, licking her lips. “I like a powerful man.”
“Don’t tease me or else.”
“Maybe I want to find out what you’ll do.”
Even the expression on her face was far too tempting. Boone took a step back and wrangled with his shirt, yanking the material up and off his shoulders. Giving her no time, he grabbed a handful of her T-shirt, removing it within seconds.
She gasped but her hands moved to his belt buckle, her hands moving deftly as she unfastened it, slipping the leather from the first loop. “I like a challenge.”
“You’re going to learn you’re not the one giving orders.” Dear God, the woman was driving him insane. His lust fueling his every move, he slipped both straps of her bra down her arms, revealing her voluptuous breasts. Grunting, he cupped both, fingering her nipples until they became rock hard.
After sliding her hand inside his jeans and underwear, she wrapped her fingers around his shaft, squeezing as she purred, “God, I want you.”
“Be careful what you ask for.” Bending at the knee, he opened his mouth wide, engulfing her aureole, sucking on her tender tissue, his tongue dragging back and forth.
“Oh!” Tipping her head back, she moaned, her eyelids flitting open and closed. She pumped the base of his cock, moving her hand in a semi-circle.
Piper's series just gets better and better. This story plot is emotional, suspenseful, erotic and at times lots of tension. This of course can be a standalone but I recoomend all the books in this series in any order but please read them. I guarantee you will love them, especially this book if you love animals and alpha males.
Blaze missoulla smoke jumpers book 5
This story is about Sawyer Lincoln. This is book 5 and it is a stand alone. If you don%u2019t read the others in this series you are really missing a treat. These books have an new and fresh story line. It is full of danger and mystery and love.
Sawyer meets a vet named Stasha with a penance for trouble. They fall in love even though trouble is following her.
Boone Martin has some hidden talents that will be revealed in this story. He hails from Texas, and competed in the rodeo and won many competitions. He will decide to compete in tryouts along with his horse, Blaze, and qualify for the next round. Another secret that comes to light will be useful in his career with the Smokejumpers.
Dr. Stasha Parker left her life in San Francisco, California and had moved to Missoula, Montana when she needs a change in her life. She liked what she saw of the area, the beauty of the mountains, and has started her own veterinarian practice. She will be hired to work the two days for the rodeo advent making sure the animals are safe and be available for any injuries that could occur.
The plot will have Stasha and Boone meeting at the rodeo, and then again when he is woken by gunshots and goes next door to the neighboring ranch and finds Stasha rescuing abandoned puppies. He will convince her to follow him to his ranch and house the puppies overnight for her. There is a connection and attraction between these two.
The story will take on several harrowing scenes, including when there is a major fire at another horse ranch that has spread and the Smokejumpers are called in to assist. When the fire is out-of-control, and they are trapped, it becomes a life and death situation that they may not survive. The wives and girlfriends will wait together, and news will go from bad to good. It is a very emotional scene and realistic of the dangers these Smokejumpers face fighting forest fires.
Stasha has a past she is trying to escape, and then she has made new enemies at the rodeo, now she is getting threats. Trouble is coming and not knowing who the enemy is makes it more difficult. Secrets she has kept from Boone will eventually come to light. Has her past caught up with her?
As with all of Ms. Stone%u2019s books, she has an amazing way of keeping you guessing, sharing bits and pieces, giving you just enough information and allowing you to work on piecing the puzzle together. With this story, a local sadistic, arrogant family will eventually be revealed. The story, just like all the others, has plenty of mystery and suspense, with a sinister plot, evil-mastermind, plenty of fires, and even murders and attempted murder. The Jackals will be busy with fires that threaten the city and several of the neighboring ranches, including one of their own team members The story does have several spanking and explicit sex scenes, with an HEA ending.
Fantastic, this series if absolutely great. This fifth outing with the Missoula Smokejumpers is about Boone who is a retired Rodeo cowboy from Texas. He gave up his own ranch in Texas which was burned to the ground and came to Missoula to be part of the team. Stasha is a vet who has recently moved to Missoula from Chicago following a bad D/s relationship in which she was abused. They meet when Boone decides to enter one more Rodeo competition, roping steers and Stasha is the appointed vet watching over animal treatment. Stasha is very feisty and will not abide horses, or any animals, being mistreated and she challenges the Rodeo officials about the care of some of the horses being used. Meanwhile there is a ring of horse thieves and they are stealing specific horses and burning down the properties to cover their tracks. Stasha and Boone meet again when she is directed to the ranch next door to his where there are a litter of puppies who have been left to fend for themselves and he assists her to rescue them. Of course there is terrific chemistry between them and the love story unfolds. There are some very hot and raunchy scenes between them and some eye watering discipline spankings too but more importantly, this is a thriller which keeps you guessing and engages the reader to really care what happens to the characters. Ms Stone has a way of writing which pulls you in so you cannot put the book down until you know how it all works out. Really entertaining and engaging read, just love it. Wow, what a fabulous addition to this already great series! This book captivated my attention from the minute I picked up the book. This book focuses on Boone and Stasha. Boone seems to have several hidden talents that are revealed during his story, just as Stasha has hidden enemies from her past. The storyline took me on a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns that were woven in with a large range of emotions. With a mystery to solve that had me guessing who were the good guys, who were the bad guys, and who was just misunderstood along with the reason behind their actions never left a dull moment. This author seems to know just how to keep the reader on the edge of their seat with heart stopping moments, tears, cheers, family, friendships, love, spankings, and so much more! I can only say that this series just keeps getting better with each book. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series for an amazing read! I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book.
The Smoke jumper series continuous with another thrilling episode. This time it is Boone and Stasha's story. He is one of the team but has a rodeo past and she is the new local vet. Like all Piper's story there is lot's of mystery intrigue and love. Great read.
Excellent. This series just keeps improving.
Boone and Stasha were so good together, and I loved her no nonsense attitude.
This story was well written. Full of excitement, suspense, romance, mystery, and intrigue. During one scene in the book, I didn't realize I had been holding my breath until I started to breath again.
I am thinking that this book might just be my favorite of the series.

A great combination %u2013 a good mystery story, a love affair, and interesting characters who gradually reveal the difficulties of their past, which has made it hard for them to develop their relationship. Stasha has moved to Missoula to escape a cruel and violent lover; Boone came to become a smoke jumper and start his life over. They meet and quickly develop a strong and loving relationship which involves domestic discipline %u2013 but a large number of problems beset them and their friends, and create huge risks for both of them. It is a really good story, marred only, in my opinion, by a too quick and %u201Cpat%u201D ending which could have used a little more explanation.
Blaze is book five of the Missoula Smokejumpers series. I do feel the series gets better and better. It might be because you meet many characters from the former books in every book or it is the hot men and the great storyline. As always, some scenes had me on the edge of the seat. I enjoy the action and mystery and who can withstand a dominant cowboy firefighter? I can't and therefore I do love this series.
Piper Stone has continued her Missoula Smokejumper series with probably the best book of the series to date, Blaze. This story is about ex-rodeo rider Boone Martin and veterinarian Stasha Parker. If you are an animal lover, you may want to grab yourself a box of tissues. At times, this book can bring a tear or two to your eyes. Boone and the guys stumble into a horse theft ring with grave results.
Stasha is the new vet who has moved to Missoula after leaving a bad relationship. She hits the ground running when she sees horses being mistreated at the local rodeo. She meets Boone and their relationship is electric. But Stasha%u2019s past and their present are colliding.
You just won%u2019t be able to put this one down! Piper%u2019s writing makes you laugh, cry, and pulls on your heart, but most of all, it%u2019s simply amazing!
